The sliding hood caddy from Carolina Custom Machine is a neat way to hold your hood up. The prop rod slides up and down as you open and close your hood. In the up position, the prop rod locks with a thumbscrew so the hood can't fall or be knocked over. This also prevents the wind from knocking your hood over. Rods are made from stainless steel with aluminum polished ends. Available for 28-36 Fords with three-piece hoods.
