C-357-B 3x2 Manifold (non-EGR) for SBC
C-357-B Triple-Deuce intake manifold is designed for 1955-86 262-400 c.i.d. small-block Chevys. This manifold has a balanced 180-degree firing order port runner arrangement. It contains an exhaust gas heat crossover and offers excellent performance potential. Has machined front oil filler tube pad with boss and is machined for 4-bolt carburetors. Carb center-to-center: 5-1/2". INSTALLATION NOTES: bull; Manifold ht: A-3.9", B-4.6; bull; Carb pad height: 4.25" bull; Carb recommendations: Contact www.HotRodCarbs.com bull; Port exit dimensions: 1.12" x 1.87" bull; Recommended intake gasket: Edelbrock # 7201. bull; Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals, such as Edelbrock High Temp Silicone sealant # 1076, DO NOT USE END SEALS GASKETS. bull; Sealant must be used on intake bolt threads if the threads extend into lifter valley or coolant passage. bull; NPT/Pipe thread fittings require the use of Teflon tape or paste on threads to ensure proper seal. bull; DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN NPT/Pipe fittings, this may cause the aluminum to crack around the fitting boss. NPT/Pipe thread is a tapered thread. bull; Hardened washers Must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum. bull; H.E.I. will not fit. bull; Carb center-to-center distance: 5-1/2" bull; Carb pad machined for 4-bolt carburetors bull; Even though manifolds are compatible with EGR systems, this does not mean they are legal for use on emissions controlled vehicles.
